I am a self-taught artist, an engineer and an avid outdoor adventurer. After 20 years of designing and problem-solving in the electrical engineering field, I recently discovered a deep connection to art, now transforming it from a newfound hobby into a central practice.
I grew up in India and moved to the US in 2007 for
graduate studies in engineering. My upbringing in the
lush, tropical environment of South India has
significantly shaped my love for nature and people. I
am an ardent hiker, backpacker and an enthusiast for
all activities outdoors and I draw art inspiration from the
lands as well as people and animals encountered on these expeditions. My dog Ginger is a loyal companion on all my adventures and often finds a special place on my canvas.
I am inspired to paint for the sheer joy and immersion of the creative process, as well as its exciting challenges. My hope is that my art will deeply resonate with viewers, making a meaningful connection between us.
In addition to painting, I’m committed to encouraging others to explore and enjoy nature. I founded a women’s outdoors group in 2019, which has since become a thriving community of over 1,000 members. I hope my art, which showcases the diverse landscapes I visit, will inspire more people to get outside often and connect with nature.
